We are so grateful that we had Libby to help us during nights with our newborn son. She came to help when he was only 3 weeks old, when we were so nervous about... well... everything. But Libby immediately made us feel cared for as a family. After a couple of nights we were able to finally rest knowing that our son was in good hands with her overnight. Libby helped us learn a lot of new parent skills (bath time went from 25 minutes of struggling to 5 minutes flat after she showed us how she does it!). With all of her experience, she was a great resource for us as new parents, but she was never pushy about how we should make decisions. When our baby was struggling with feeding, Libby worked with us to make sure he was getting enough food to keep growing and getting stronger. It was clear from the start that she loved our baby and that she really takes joy in her work as a newborn care specialist. When I returned to my job as an attorney, I told my mentor that I would like to make my clients feel the way my newborn care specialist made me feel - totally at ease and confident in her ability to handle everything. Between her extensive experience caring for babies, and her genuine love for our little one, we never had to worry about anything when she was here. We initially planned to work with Libby for only a few weeks, but her contribution to our family's mental health and happiness was so great that we ended up working with her for several months. We finally had our last night with Libby when our baby was over six months old. It was bittersweet to say goodbye, but our baby is doing great - sleeping well, eating well, and growing like a weed - thanks to Libby's help. If we ever have another child, we will be hiring Libby again, from day one.
